The Daddy Daughter Dance is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your daughter. It will provide you with a small glimpse at the time and dedication it takes your daughter to perfect her dancing. You will learn a ballroom like routine in which you will partner your daughter in various lifts and turns. The time spent learning and practicing this dance will become a favorite memory of yours and your daughter.
The rehearsals will be split into three groups. These groups will be based on age and are tentatively 4-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 9+. You may dance in more than one group.
Rehearsal dates for the 2012 performance will be available by February 2012. A tentative rehearsal schedule can be found below. Rehearsals will begin in March. There will be five rehearsals, the first three of which will be held on Saturdays between the hours of 1 pm and 4 pm. We will construct a specific rehearsal schedule once registration is complete. The Daddy Daughter Dance will perform on April 21st at 7:30 pm at the Classical Ballet Academy “Spring Concert”. There are two performances for the “Spring Concert”, but the Daddy Daughter Dance will only be performing on April 21st.
The Daddy Daughter Dance is a lot of fun, but it does include lifting your daughter over your head, challenging choreography, and several hours of rehearsal. If you have back problems or other physical limitations please contact us before you register.
The attire for the performance for the dads is a dark suit, white shirt and a tie. The daughters will wear a white dress or white leotard and skirt. When selecting your dress please check that it is not too frilly or slick, as this will make some lifts more difficult.

Cost: $100.00 (fee includes 2 tickets for the participants and their performance fee) *students who are in level 4 or above and performing in other pieces will also need to pay the $75 performance fee
